These are general guidelines for preventive care measures that you should take to minimize disease or illness in your herd.
Note: From both health and implementation standpoints, vaccination programs work best when customized to your individual operation. For this reason, we recommend that you contact us to set up an appointment to discuss your vaccination schedule.
Required vaccines:
* Clostridium CD/T (Clostridium perfringes Types C and D, and
Clostridium tetani [tetanus])
* West Nile Virus
Optional vaccines:
* Rabies
Recommended procedures:
* Shearing annually or every two years
* Toenail trimming: at least once annually, twice in some situations;
foot exam of any lame animal
* Preventive dental exam: every two to three years and as needed
if eating problems develop
